Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information PhiloStudios collects when you use our website and our VST3 plugin, what we use it for, and what choices you have. If you have any questions, email us at soporte@philostudios.pro.
1. Who we are
PhiloStudios is a software product (a vocal-mixing VST3 plugin) distributed through philostudios.pro. For any privacy or data questions, contact us at soporte@philostudios.pro.
2. What data we collect
- Account data: when you register, we store your email and, if you choose that method, a password securely managed by Firebase Authentication, which we never see in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and profile photo as authorized on that screen.
- Subscription data: when you subscribe to PhiloStudios PRO, PayPal provides us with a subscription identifier and its status (active, cancelled, etc.). We do not process or store your card or bank details — PayPal handles that directly.
- Plugin data: to link your PRO license to a device, we store a device identifier when you log in inside the VST3.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting (Firebase Hosting) and file provider (Cloudflare) may log standard technical data (IP address, browser type) for security and performance purposes.
3. What we use your data for
- Authenticating you and giving you access to your account, both on the website and inside the plugin.
- Verifying and maintaining your PRO subscription.
- Providing support when you contact us.
- Improving the site and the product.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data to third parties. We only share information with the providers we need to operate the service, acting as data processors:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Hosting) — hosts the site, manages login and stores your account data.
- PayPal — processes payments and manages your monthly subscription.
- Cloudflare (R2) — hosts the plugin download files and the site's audio examples.
5. Cookies and advertising
This site may display ads from Google and its advertising partners (for example, through Google AdSense). Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.
6. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information (for example, your password is never stored in plain text, thanks to Firebase Authentication). However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
7. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access your data, correct it, or delete your account entirely, by writing to soporte@philostudios.pro. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time.
8. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you request account deletion, we delete your personal data unless we are required to retain some record for legal or accounting reasons (for example, payment history).
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
